Welcome, thank you for joining me on my journey into the dark.
Art is often used to express the relatable, yet we tend to limit "relatability" to happiness and light. I try to veer off this common path to evoke the feelings we shy away from. I explore the macabre and the grotesque as a way to validate the parts of the human psyche that are often suppressed. Through the stories of whimsical, dark creatures, I translate the uncomfortable into something tangible. I want to create a connection through the unconventional, through the shared community in our darkest thoughts.
My approach to design is defined by a unique intersection of fine art aesthetics and high-stakes technical discipline. With a background in fine arts, I bring a keen eye for color and composition to every project, ensuring a sophisticated visual impact. This creativity is anchored by nearly eight years of experience as a Parachute Rigger, where I developed a 'no-fail' attention to detail along with the ability to lead diverse teams through high-stakes objectives. I specialize in delivering polished, intentional design solutions that tell the viewer a story, all the while maintaining a cool head and strict adherence to deadlines, no matter the complexity of the task.
A little bit about myself. I was born in York, Pennsylvania. I first began exploring art more seriously in 2015. It was a place where I could express myself, where words could not. After graduating from high school, I went to Juniata College, where I continued to practice art. Though after three semesters, I got bored and tired of the education system and didn't feel as though I knew what I wanted, so naturally, I enlisted in the Marine Corps in 2019. I spent the next eight years as a parachute rigger in southern California. My time in the service was exactly what I needed until it wasn't. I began to reconnect with the artist in me around 2023. During that time, I decided it was time to finish my college education and graduated in 2025 with a B.A. in Graphic Communications. That brings us to the present day. Now I'm working towards becoming a full-time artist and graphic designer. I am more excited than ever about my journey.
